Frequently Asked QuestionsGareth talking with a client

Q: Can I still exercise?
A: Yes you can. Exercise on its own is not very good for weight loss, and you do not have to do any exercise in order to lose weight on the main Lipotrim programme. However it is still essential to regularly take moderate exercise five times a week for 30 minutes and to make sure that you hydrate yourself prior to doing so.

Q: Can I eat fruit and vegetables as a snack?
A: No you cannot. This is a strict programme and even the smallest addition to what is allowed (healthy or not) will take you out of ketosis and will not only reduce your rate of weight loss but also will bring about unwanted effects, for example headache, hunger, etc.

Q: Can I drink flavoured water or coffee?
A: No. The programme needs you to drink at least 2 litres of water a day and add any tea and coffee to this amount. Unfortunately the flavoured alternatives are not allowed. You may drink carbonated water.

Q: Can I take more than one week’s supply at a time?
A: Yes but only in certain circumstances on an individual basis. This and any weight loss strategy benefits greatly with constant supervision. Without this weekly meeting it is easier to stray above and beyond a rectifiable lapse.

Q: Will I put all the weight back on after finishing?
A: This is a very common question as there are lots of reports saying for example, “the quicker you lose weight the quicker you put it on”.

In the short term this is only true if you have completed the main Lipotrim programme and when finished you don’t follow the re-feeding programme. This is a weeks menu to follow so that you introduce food slowly and at the right time. If you don’t follow the menu then the weight gain will be mainly water gain and can cause great disappointment after all your hard work.

In the long term, your weight is down to you. If you watch what you consume every day and keep your intake to 2000 calories a day for women and 2500 for men, you will be maintaining your weight around your weight when you finished the programme. If however you eat more calories, adopt the same diet as before the weight loss or binge eat then you will put weight on.

How much weight gain is up to you because many people have problems controlling their weight and so regular contact with ourselves can prevent gain. You also have to set a lower limit to when you shout for help and as your weight will naturally fluctuate, it is best to seek help if your weight increases beyond half a stone.
